I have started to notice that I am using alot of KRAFT......

I have this system of once I do a layout, I throw it on a shelf on my bookcase to put in an album later when I can be bothered to sort out the timeline etc, however this always ends up with me having a huge pile OK massive pile of layouts that needed to be sorted. But going through the pile I have noticed that at the moment I am using a huge amount of Kraft card stock, I seem to be loving its versatility, you can mist it, ink it, paint it, distress it, I could go on and on.

So during one of my lack of mojo days and trying to find some inspiration I stumbled across a blog dedicated to using Kraft..... HEAVEN !!!!!

http://kraftitup.blogspot.com/; have monthly challenges, and I have to say Septembers was a little bit of a challenge......  This months challenge is to create a layout using Kraft or Kraft Patterned Paper as your base and to use FABRIC & STITCHING. Now this could be machine or hand stitching the choice is yours and your fabric can be anything from a flower you have made from fabric, fabric ribbons, fabric strips or to use fabric instead of paper the inspiration is up to you but we must be able to see fabric and stitching on your layouts!!!

So this got me thinking and it worked out really well considering that I just brought an i-top and I wanted to play with fabric since I have some fabric now I am branching out to the sewing world thanks to a BFF xxxx.

My name is Rikki..... and I am an online scrap shopper.

People who know me, know I have been anti buying things online, because there is something about touching, feeling and seeing the items when you buy them in a shop.  I come to you as the converted, I am now am a online shopper and I seem to be making up for lost time, ( lol, but I dont think the bank account is finding the work out funny).

One of those companies that I have been working the bank account out with is Anna's Craft Cupboard, my recent purchase was the entire range of MME Lost and Found 2 and I do mean all the range including all the bits.....

They have a monthly Sketch competition;http://www.annascraftcupboard.com.au/gallery3/showgallery.php?cat=571 so what better way to play with the new purchases, and more importantly to get a layout done and I am happy to get it done at the start of the month instead of rushing lol, and the sketch works perfectly for the photos I had sitting on my desk...

So thank you Anna for converting me to the online shopping world (dont know if DP feels that way, but he will learn to like it lol), and no doubt I will be spending more soon.

Suffering the lack of mojo AGAIN..... how do I get past it?

Well after two weeks of wanting to scrap and heaps of new pretties ( and I do mean a heap)..... I still couldnt find my mojo but after forcing myself to just do a layout to get past this block I created up a storm yesterday a great effort of 8 layouts completed.

So my question is for those who are reading, what its your trick in pushing past the lack of mojo? Mine was a suck it up just do a layout and music turned all the way up......

This layout "I Adore You" is based on #172 http://creativescrappers.blogspot.com/ it was just what I needed to push through the block.

And a shout to Lovelybug Bits n Bobs; http://soupie75.blogspot.com/p/lovelybug-bits-n-bobs.html for all those little bits which I needed to complete this layout xxxx.
