Yes its more My Minds Eye paper....

Well as you probably can see I have a bit of an addiction to My Minds Eye paper, but you would too, they make beautiful paper and all the bits that go with it. So I will continue to use it till I run out of it (yeah right I will just go and buy more, who am I kidding).

This layout was one of those ones which nearly didn't happen, it took 2 days to create. I had one of those days where nothing was working, every layout I tried wasn't good enough or I left some of the stuff that I needed at home, Amelia cried all day and I had no inspiration at all. But I kept with it and the next day everything fell into place and I created this layout for my girl ( I cant believe she was only 5 days old, shes now 9 months old, how time flies).

Inspiration comes from sketches....

Well yesterday I completed a number of layouts, which is a first, considering I have felt uninspired lately. My inspiration came from a number of sketches, I find when I cant think of anything to do this is a way to jump start the ideas and help complete layouts. I tend to use them and then change them to suit my style of scrapbooking and other times I follow them to the letter.

So the first sketch site I used was . I stumbled across this one about a month ago and thought I would give it a go. So this is sketch #234:

AC cardstock & Thickers, Kaisercraft Bubblegum Hills paper, MLS mini Alphas

The second site I used was , I have being playing around with there sketches for about 2 years now, and it has been awhile since I used them. So here are Aprils sketches, starting with #69:

Bazzill cardstock, MME Fine & Dandy Pattern Paper, MME Stella & Rose Stickers,
AC Thickers, Twine

And the other April sketch from Inspired Blueprints is #70:
(this one I flipped the sketch on its side help with my photos).

Glitter can be for a boy !!!!

As the the title said glitter can be for boys...... Well this has been a discussion in my house with my partner for a many of years, I mean as long as it looks boyish of course !!!! I am yet to convince him of this, when he see these layouts, he really focuses on the photo and nothing else. But what are you going to do..... Share it with the world, till he sees the errors in his ways.

Girly layouts.... why are they soooooooooooo hard?

The girly layouts, they really hurt my head, I think the reason is I have been doing boy layouts for nearly 9 years! I know what you are thinking I am girl, you would have done girly, but no, no I haven't and anyone who knows me, knows I am not the girly, girl. I can do girl if the situation calls for it but I don't tend to.

This layout was my first attempt at doing the girly page, I had the perfect photo of my baby girl, Amelia. She was 5 days old when I took a series of photos on my dinning table and she was the perfect little model (I might be bias). Also you might soon establish that I have an addiction to My Minds Eye papers, especially the Lost and Found series, I have all of it and there has been a steady supply of glitter over my floor for at least 6 months now.

Time to share some of my work....

This is a nerve racking experience, sharing some of my work, because you see other peoples work and think is my good enough? and you always will answer no, but I will try to push those thoughts out of my head as I share with you.

So I thought since I have seem to lost my creative mojo, I would share with you some layouts that are my favourites. I was very lucky to go away on my first scrapping retreat in February, with some of my girlfriend's, it was for 2 nights and 3 days. It was a great weekend away, even though I missed my children so much (I haven't been away from them that often and it was my first time leaving my baby girl). I was lucky enough to complete 44 layouts for that weekend and this was one of my favourite ones. I was SO excited to find this paper by My Minds Eye and was equally excited to use it.

After living in the world of denial, I have decided to join the world of blogging. It has been needless to say a fustrating process, firstly I wanted a pretty blog, with a pretty background, let me tell you it took forever to get what you now see. Secondly as I was typing this first post, one on many and the laptop flashed a blue screen at me (I have not idea why), and shut itself down. But be proud of me I came back to start again instead of having a childish tantrum.

Anyway, the reason for joining this world is I love to scrapbook, I have an obsession to paper and I love, love, love photography and I want to share it.
