Colour pop happiness

Ohhhhhh the excitement is building for Make Stuff Pretty Down Under.... is there anyone else out there excited? because my family is starting to think I am losing the plot and they look at me like I have 2 heads or something. So that means I have to share this out in Cyber space and hopefully inspire you to play with some Heidi Swapp goodies.

Inspired Blueprints Sketch #107 Reveal

Good Morning... its another Friday and that means another share for Inspired Blueprints. An interesting fact since being on there design team, I have created 29 layouts this year just following the once a week sketch....

That's beyond great however I have been procrastinating and definitely putting off putting the layouts into the photo albums and this is not the only one. So how do you all get past that road block? I surely cant be the only one that puts this off?
And my interpretation.... ohhh just thought of something I do recall saying that I would stick to the sketch one day..... nearly getting there?

Time issues.....

I seem to sometimes have troubles with time management.... I always intend to enter may challenges each month then by the end of the month I haven't done near as much as I wanted... so do you have any tips? do you burn the midnight oil? do you do them all that the start of the month ? or do you leave them till the end? or is the key less challenges?

This layout was one of the many that I wanted to get done but only manage 2 instead of the 5.... it was for Scrapbook Savvy's last cyber crop.... Sketch Challenge....

Inspired Blueprints #106 Sketch Reveal

Agghhh can you believe its half way through October and I am sure I would be happier if I knew where aren't really that far off Christmas.... not that I don't love Christmas its just that I am not that organised this year for the event , must make it a propriety and start the laybys now so I don't get stuck.... But I am sure there's plenty of you more organised than me? right?

But enough of the Christmas talk, its Friday and that means another reveal for Inspired Blueprints, sketch #106. How did you like the new team? I am sure they will get your creative juices flowing....

As you can see I have flipped the sketch and shrunk the photos one day I promise you I will leave the sketch as is but I do love a challenge and love to change it up a bit.

Its a once of year thing..... with Sawyers Place

Its just a once a year thing..... once in a blue moon you will see me scrap a photo of myself alone.... I am trying to be better even to the point where I am training the other half how to use my DSLR so I can have more photos of me, but I am sure I am not the only one that has this problem?

But that being said today  with this layout I bring you a new way to scrap in a hurry, its Sawyers Place Sticky paper, I love that you just peel the back off, stick and your half way there. It can be inked and painted on with a little help for some Gesso.

Sawyers Place; Sticky paper, Blue washi and teal and Peacock Flairs,

Blind scrapping?

Last week Scrapbook Savvy hosted a blind crop.... what's a blind crop you ask?
You have a list of instructions on how to create a layout but you don't know what it should look like till after the entry date has closed. I love this because everyone's entry always looks totally different.... and its the one time I actually bring out a ruler to complete a layout.
And here's the result..... do you have any other challenges out there that you know of that are a little bit different?

Beyond excited.... or is that just me?

So the count down begins for #makestuffprettydownunder I must say I am beyond excited, this is something that I have never done before.... my first class but what a great first class to take with Heidi Swapp and Kim Jeffress.

To get in a Heidi frame of mind I decided to have a play with some Colour shine and Colour Magic of one of the challenges over at Scrapbook Savvy's Octobers Cyber crop, this challenge was Teal + Black + Pink....

So who else is going to the Make Stuff Pretty Down Under? and are you as excited about it as me?

Sawyers Place feeling the brights

You don't often see me do bright, bright layouts unless pattern paper has them in it, but I have been playing with my Dylusion mists lately .... I decided there was no point hoarding them if I use them I use them I can always get more, I have been that way a bit with my templates also, the reason I brought them in the first place was to save money on pattern papers cause you can re use over and over...

So biting the bullet I have been playing, some good enough to actually use as a layout base. This is one of those success stories.... so what's the one thing that you have been avoiding?

Fussy Cutting......

Hi Rikki here, so how do you like the first Frosted Designs Scrapbooking kit? "Sea Breeze"....
I am a little bit proud of it and did feel the pressure of creating a layout that showed of the kit, that being said today I would love to share with you one of many layouts that I no doubt will be doing with this kit.

By now you know on of  my favourite thing to do is fussy cutting, and the kit has the perfect piece in there for that...... One other thing I did discover is in the embellishment pack from Studio Calico they are like stickers all you have to do is peel off the backing and away you go.

The glassine bags make a great holder for a tag to fancy it up a bit you can use
 one of your boarder punches.

Don't forget that these kits are limited, limited and once they are gone they are gone. So why don't you pop over to Frosted Design store today and grab on, before you miss out.....
