Scrap the Boys November Challenge

Scrap the Boys challenge this month:

MANS BEST FRIEND -
This months challenge can be literal (so your man/boy's BEST FRIEND) or you can think outside the box and go with something they love like their car or remote.
You can also use the traditional Man’s Best Friend of a DOG… the options are wide and varied.

So thinking long and hard about it, I have had these photos in my stash wanting to do them justice.... what better than mans best friend than a bit of Father Son bonding over Go Karts?

Scrap the the Girls November Challenge

This month since I did a Scrap the Boys challenge I thought I would do the Scrap the Girls challenge, this one was a recipe challenge;

Inspired Blueprints Catch up.....

A mini Inspired Blueprints catch up as I have missed a couple of sketches #111.... its getting to the crazy time of the year I am trying to stay on target I promise, I really want to finish this year strong.... how are you all going? are you finding there's just not enough hours in the days?

Inspired Blueprints Sketch #111

I was very lucky a couple of weekends ago to attend Heidi Swapp Make Stuff Pretty Downunder, and I finally have had a chance to play with the newest Heidi Swapp products.

Glam Selfie... for Rainbow Splendour

Something for fun for my guest position for Rainbow Splendour and its another mixed media piece, it feels so good to use all my mist, templates and my paints for a change.

Even though the process can take awhile, waiting for your background to dry, it allows your to create multiple backgrounds at once and when you need something your ready to go, and lets face it, it is a lot of fun.  On the plus side your creating original background and teaming them with some standard scrapping supplies and with a few embellishments your done, like the Rainbow Splendour Heart paperclip.

"Glam Selfie"
Rainbow Splendour Heart Paper clip, Kaisercraft template & stamps,
Dyluisons, Paint, Texture paste,
Washi tape, Crate Paper Flea Market, Tim Holtz Glitter,

Scrapping the imperfect...

Over at Scrap it With Attitude we have a monthly challenge running of scrap an imperfect photo (and for me its always my phone that gives me these photos, is it just me?) and let me tell you that's not as easy as it seems, its going against everything we do as scrappers. But it does allow you to focus on the moment.... So why don't you give it a go?

A bit late in the week considering that the reveal was on Friday but better late than never.... Inspired Blueprints sketch #110 and maybe its the perfect thing to get your mojo flowing for the week.

With my interpretation of the sketch I wanted the photo to be the major focus and by eliminating a few of the pattern pieces of papers it helped that goal.

Monopoly Challenge Week 2 Freestyle Freeway

Monopoly Challenge Week 2.... Styles!!!

For my roll I landed on Freestyle Freeway and I will my new founded mixed media endeavours decided to hit the ground running!!!

Freestyle is a style where creativity and flexibility, and a full scope for activities is prevailed. Pages decorated in this style are bright, dynamic, with plenty of hand drawn elements, uncommon journaling, and full of surprising solutions. The creativity is seen everywhere, from a photo selection to an unusual combination of various scrap-products, colours, and techniques.

''A Girl needs a Castle''
Dylusions, Prima Stamps, Stanzon,
Crafters Workshop template, Kaisercraft template, Feather
Washi tape, texture paste, Bo Bunny Double Dot
Cardstock.

The "unsual journaling technique" is the envelope that has some journaling in there for my daughter to find later on..... and does it count that the fact I did  journal,  go towards the ''unusual'' part?

Monopoly Challenge.... GO!!!!

Over the last couple of weeks, since October.....  Scrapbooking Top 50 has have a wonderful challenge going....  epic even. It is a Monopoly challenge, pick your numbers and get different challenges and see what they are  each week..... so far I have kept on task.......  I think there was one week that I was a couple of days late but what can you do :P

So as any good game of Monopoly you need to get on the board..... So the GO!!! challenge was on... the perfect warm up.... To get you on the board, or onto the 'GO' space, you must complete your first challenge!  You need to create a layout with the letters 'GO' as the start of a word in your title or subtilte (examples include: GO, GOing, Goal, GOod, GOofy, GOlf - GOogle can help you out with many more)!! You also need to include a 'game' item, like a ticket, playing card, dice etc.

"Game On!"
Dylusions, Kaisercraft mask, Sawyers Place washi tape,
AC thickers, Mini alphas, Uno cards
And yes I did stick 2 UNO cards over the photo..... I really wanted to make it pop!!!
