Simple Stories kits..... yummmmmmmmm

I am a little bit in love the with the kits by http://simplestories.typepad.com/simple_stories/ I have all of them except one (I am working on fixing it).  There 100 days of Summer worked for this photo the hardest thing was choosing all the little bits that are in the kit.

It was a quick layout thanks to http://www.inspired-blueprints.com/ # 74:

Did you ever think that you are on a roll......

As the title says " did you ever think that you where on a roll, but then near then end realise that you so weren't". Well that's how I feel about this layout, it was meant to have the story, and another photo but I just couldn't get it to work, so I did what every good scrapbooker does, I went to the Kindy Glitz, that will make it all better and that way I am not wasting time and by then I will figure out where the other photo will go...... hmmmmmmmmmmm nahhhhhh, it didn't so here is one of those layout that did turn out perfectly but didn't go to plan.

Mixed emotions...

I don't know how to start.... these photos where meant to be a significant moment in my life... these photos and this photo shot was meant to mark so much more than just photos of a new addition. This is my last baby, my first girl and after a difficult pregnancy it was meant to be a nice rounded moment. It was for awhile, I was so excited to do the photo shot and couldn't wait to get the photos. The photo's where taken when Amelia was 5 weeks and 5 days old so I had to wait and wait for them I did. When Amelia was close to 15 weeks I received a phone call telling me that all the photos where lost.... the hard drive had crashed and they weren't able to recover them, sorry. Needless to say I was totally devastated.

So how did I get these shots? These photos where put on the web so I could preview, so this is what I was given out of the shot, they where very reduced in size and quality and not to mention with at least 3 watermarks on each photo. So I did a shout out to my August birth mummies asking if there was anyone who knew how to remove the watermarks, when a very talent lady, Mrs Sally said she could remove them for me.

So 3 months later and know doubt alot of frustration and I am able to present you my darling Daughter Miss Amelia....... and

To Mrs Sally ( aka A Legend),

Thank you so much, these weren't just photos and I am thankful that you understood what they meant to me and that you treated them with all the love that you would treated your own photos. There really isn't any word to express what you did for me and Amelia.

Joining the DARK SIDE......

The other day I attempted to sew on a layout, I did do it but that was after I tried to thread a bobbin.... I know what your thinking really, its just a bobbin ! Anyone who knows me, knows I don't sew, I do it all by hand ( I once made felt reindeer's for my sons class the whole 32 of them, all sewn by hand), if there's a layout that needs sewing, I do it by hand and takes a couple of days to complete it. I even left the machine in the box for 3 months because it looked to hard. So I thought I would join the dark side and do it by machine......

This should have been a simple task but it wasn't I was following the instructions, but it wasn't happening, my darling partner, decided that he knew how to do it, even though he has no idea about sew or a machine or anything related like that, well it ended at me yelling at him, yelling at the machine, wasting all this cotton and finally I got it to work. So I now love sewing with the machine.... I will share that layout soon, when it is complete.

However I do have one layout to share that is completed, another sketch from http://www.inspired-blueprints.com/, # 72

Sorry for the technical issues..

Ok sorry in advanced if this post doesnt look like the others, Blogger seems to be having technical issues and hopefully it will be resolved soon.

I must admit I am finding it hard to find the time to upload and do things, there just doesnt seem enough time in the day. But I have been creating layouts which is a good thing. So hopefully soon I will be able to share them once these issues have been fixed.
