End of the Month wrap up....

Another Friday and we are at the end of the month, just like that!!! This is insane!!! Didn't we just celebrate Christmas? Anyway today I thought I would share with you another layout that I created for Molossi, it was such a fabulous design team kit and with heaps of left overs for the stash and that's not a bad thing.

Today its about creating a hybrid.... mixed media + fussy cutting + layered flowers = hybrid.

Good morning..... Today I thought I would show you something I did for Show Us your Stuff  and for February we had a beautiful quote to use on our layout and dont forget the something hand made.... and on the plus side as long as it was handmade and your brought it you can still use it... bonus

So for my handmade pieces I am using lovely little embellishments from Rainbow Splendour...... The mini pinwheel, butterflies and lady bug.

Scrap Friends February sketch...

OMG ok this is insane the end of the month... and now for the frantic end of month wrap ups. I must be honest the last couple of weeks I have been suffering a lack of mojo and not of the usual kind but I am really hoping to turn it around this  up and coming Long Weekend (over here in the West).

But while I am trying to do that I would like to share with you my take on this months ScrapFriends February sketch challenge... And if you have any tips on how to find my missing mojo please share!!!!

This months mood board I must say did make me panic a little as I am quite often purple challenged. But there's only one what to deal with that go head on and create something purple and I am very happy I did just go for it.

For me the bit that inspired me for the background colours was the ombre cake with the graduating tones. The next thing that I focused on was the touches of gold and the triangles which I used in my layering of texture paste. 

And then finally the quote.... the perfect title.....

Friday and visions of a sleep in ?

Its Friday!!! Friday !!! Friday!!! That means one day to the weekend.... a sleep in... lol now I am cracking myself up... must teach the children how to sleep in then I can. But on a plus side that means creative time.

 

But with it being find I am able to share my layout that was done for Molossi.... and I must say it has gone full on girly, and it was a lot of fun!!!

Inspired Blueprints #122

Another Tuesday... and the weeks are flying past and I have said it before seriously what its with all the Easter stuff!!! I mean come on we  know its coming up but this is how you get people over the holiday before it even starts!!! ok rant over and I could go on but this is a scrapping blog afterall ( I am sure I am not alone?)

We have Sketch # 122 for Inspired Blueprints today and I must say I do love this layout and its ever perfect for all you project lifers (not me, haven't been converted yet lol).

For my version I just moved the Left hand side photo up a little bit in its position to tie it in with the other photos as they are a series.

I am here with another layout hopefully that will inspire you to get messy. This layout is also perfect for those little strips of paper you always seem to have lying around and if your like me you don't want to throw them out but then you feel guilty hoarding little bits.... Well feel guilty no more!!! I am going to show you how to use all the left over bits.

 

 

I am sure you are asking where the left overs are? They have been used to make my background.

 

 

 

How stunning are these flowers? The perfect finishing thing for my layout. Why not give your layout a feature with a stunning Manorhouse Flower or two.

Inspired Blueprints Sketch #121

Another Tuesday and another reveal for Inspired Blueprints, sketch #121. This layout is one of those evolving layout that I sort of thumbed around a few things and wanted to see where it would go... and I am really beyond happy with the result and on a positive note I am using my old stash that should my DH very happy too....

I have been trying to focus on how to cluster a lot of flowers together, lets face it, its an art form and one I would love to be able to pull off without stressing about it. Do you have any rules or trick/ tips for those followers that ''do'' flowers?

Scrapbook Savvy January Sketch Catch up

I was very lucky to have a great creative month last month but the problem with that is finding the time to share some work and catch up with blogging... and there are some days words just leave me. But today I need to push through that and share with you last months Scrapbook Savvy's January sketch. 

I love this sketch because it really allows you to interpret the layout any way you want.... for me I wanted to have some fun with the background and mimic the colours in the photos. This properly is the first time that I have ever done photo/colour matching for a layout.

Oh this is exciting my first post for my new design team Molossi..... and what a beautiful kit it was!!! It was worth stalking the postie for sure I was told it was a awesome design team kit and it didn't disappoint at all.

Its a stunning range of papers that just screamed to be fussy cut and they are perfect for your little princess in your lives.

Scrapbook Savvy Cyber Crop ... catch up

Today I thought I would just do a quick share showing a layout that I did create for Scrapbook Savvy Cyber Crop, I was very lucky it happened during the holidays and I managed to complete all the challenges laid out, ( this doesn't happen that often). But my favourite challenge has to be the blind crop!!!!

I love how you get a list of instructions and you have no idea how the layout will turn out and there's always plenty of options to add your little twists on it as well. Plus its a perfect opportunity to play with some of your favourite papers in your stash....

Sawyers Place - Valentines Cards

Good morning... a little share for Sawyers Place today, now the house is quite well as  quite as it can be with a 3 yr old. As it is now the start of February  I thought it would be a great time to practice my card making skills or lack there of... with some quick his and her Valentines Day cards.

The one thing I do love is if you change a couple of elements you can have his and her cards... and the best thing is Sawyers Place Sticky paper in the Insanity Script, just cut and peel then your done for an instant background.

This year I am going to do better with card making those who are card makers any tips and tricks? I am always a bit lost on where to start.... for these 2 little cards it took as long if not longer to create a layout!! INSANE, so if  you could share any tips please do!!!

Its Tuesday and we have another sketch reveal for Inspired Blueprints and we are up to sketch #120

which is amazing considering I joined the team at sketch  #81 which means I have created 39 layouts which is not a bad effort.

For me, I really wanted to focus on the background behind the photo and this sketch allows that. Also I rotated the sketch to the RHS.
