Sometimes when you have a busy paper its nice just to anchor the page with a simple black boarder. 

 With that idea in mind keep the chipboard one colour also.

I needed something to support the fussy cut flowers so I just cut up the succulent piece of chipboard.

With the chipboard brick wall use the insert on the page, you get two different styles in one piece which makes it great value for money.

Never Stop Dreaming with Dusty Attic

 Good morning another new month means another amazing Dusty Attic Moodboard and whats not to love with this colour combo?

So are you going to give it a go?

To start off the layout I used the largest Flowering Vine and added foam tape so I could add the negative space of the photo underneath it. 

Then its all about adding fussy cut flowers over the top of it.

The next step is about adding that amazing Lacey Pendant Drops to the base of the photo and the vine you can just glue it straight on and it will look like its suspended over the top because of the height in the flowers...

Then you can add the Dandelions and daisies throughout the Vine and pendant.

Add your title.

Dont forget the amazing leaves as well.

To finish off the background of the layout add the brick wall and its frame....

To finish the layout off...... add some glitter of course.

Merry Christmas with Dusty Attic

Good morning and Merry Christmas, I would like to take the opportunity to wish you all an amazing holiday.

I am here today with a very sparkly Christmas inspired layout. 

If you havent figured out yet I love fussy cutting, I mean its beyond a love.... an obsession? I love when you can cut papers up and really layer them throughout all your chipboard pieces, adding loads of layers and then all your finishing pieces like stones, glitters, foil.

To start off this layout I used the Large Holly Wreath and gave it a little spray paint. Then cut it so I could make it sit over the top part of the page - I would have cut out approx. 1/4 out of the wreath.

Stuck my photo down and then foam mounted the wreath and positioned it where I needed to go.

The next is to spray paint the additional Christmas Berries Chipboard. While your waiting on the chipboard to dry arrange all you fussy cut papers around, under and over the Large Holly Wreath....

Once you are happy with the arrangement - trust me I did fussy around a little bit with this, its all about adding your glitters/ foils and stones throughout the layers and your papers clustering and blending out these. 

Add the Christmas Berries throughout the Large Holly Wreath.

Dont forget to add glitters in varying sizes, make up your own blends and bag the extra for later on.

Spray paint your Merry Christmas Chipboard title and add to the bottom right hand corner.

Now the very necessary step and it can take a little bit of time but I am happy with the result. I covered all the chipboard pieces with Diamond Stickles.

Dream Discover and Explore with Dusty Attic

Good morning how are you? I have to tell you I must do things backwards.... when its Winter I scrap Summer photos and when its Summer I scrap Winter photos. I dont know why, and I have always done it, do you do the same? I find I do my best layout when its the opposite of whats around me.

Grungy music = soft very girly layout.

Happy music = mixed media, darker layouts...... maybe I am revealing too much of my inner brain workings? I am sure its like an ink spot test some see butterflies others dragons, ahhh well thats for another day.

I am here to share with you this months Dusty Attic Moodboard and its has an awesome neutral vibe and I have to say I have loved working with it as its not my normal colour palette.

Feeling very inspired by the natural textures a summer beachy vibe was the way to go...

A Porthole is a perfect place to layer your chipboard and it also catches all your art stones and glitter and glass.

Looking for little elements in places which arent scrapping related, like these little gold fish - they are design for nail art .....

Large glass pearls add an instant beach vibe, to help cover up the extra glue add some glitter and glass shards to help cover the glue.

To add to the beach feel, keep your chipboard all white, just give it a spray with some spray paint and off you go. It works great with the etched chipboard as it allows all the detail to show.

So why dont your find your beachy vibes and enter into this months challenge.
