Good morning how are you all? I am here today to share with you my latest Beyond the Page Project and this time we are working it with this years Colour of the Year......
And doesnt it just work with the new Kaisercraft Collection Misty Mountain?
Hi how are you all? Its that time of year when our Kaisercraft Team is nearly complete. Can you believe it ??? It only feels like yesterday I received the exciting news that I would be getting through to 2016/17 Kaisercraft Round 2.
Well I am very excited to announce that I have made it to Round 2 this year and that means we received a great new package to create something to show case our style.....
So this year I decided rather than do a layout I would do something big, beyond the page..... something that has taken me over 35 hours to complete, yes I did say 35 hrs and yes I know I must be slightly insane, and would love to take the opportunity to say thank you to my scrapping widow, because with out him handling some of the evening household things I might be still going and rocking in the corner.
So with multiple hot gun wounds, some carpel tunnel, a near miss with wire and my eyeball and plenty of mess I am very proud to present you my entry for this years Kaisercraft 2017/18 Round 2, using the stunning, so to be in store Lilac Whispers....
I have been waiting to do one of these wreaths as long as I can remember, make my own flowers make something that is 3 d art, without it dying on me lol. The stunning tones in Kaisercraft Lilac Whispers is perfect for a floral display, perfect for any home......
Cut your flowers out, you need two of each size, template for flowers can be found online via Pinterest. Curl your florist wire on the end and thread you first flower petal.
Do the same with the second petal curve around your first gluing to the first layer. Continue till all your layers are complete.
With the leaves I did a few different types, making sure I score the detail into them.
For the leaves I used a combination of CD163 Spearmint, CD157 Sage Card stock.....
Add leaves to florist wire to add to the wreath, double it up so you cant see the glue dots...
For the frame I used an old Christmas Wreath, just pulled the garland off and I wired an addition couple of strings to make it easy to glue flowers and leaves to it, just some 1.5mm wire that you use outside in the garden.
Now to construct all you have to do is add your flowers first then add all your leaves in different layers and directions.....
The Kaisercraft Lilac Whispers FL604 Bouquet Flourish Pack has these awesome wooden veneer sprays that are so easy to ink and add in your wreath with a little Kaisercraft Ink - IP726 Island and IP730 Avocado.
To fill a center of a flower use a stunning Kaisercraft Pearl - SB718 Bliss.
Dont forget once your happy with the overall wreath to use leave to cover the glue from the back, this will also help give you a fuller look....Also add a ribbon tie to the top so you can hang it freely....
Heres my video on how to make some Kaisercraft Lilac Whispers Paper flowers:
I hope I have inspired you, and it has been a great year working for Kaisercraft, with my fingers and toes crossed I hope to be joining the new team... until them have a creative day.
