Somewhere over the Rainbow with Dusty Attic

Good morning how are you? Well its time to start getting back into the routine of school runs and early nights and early dinners....

Ohhhhh adulting lol I have really enjoyed my little break spending time with my girl, getting creative in our art journals, some little project life and of course playing with my Dusty Attic Chipboard.

How can you not feel inspired?

I have a little process video so you can follow along.

To kick off the layout spray your chipboard pieces white, you all know I love that as my start point and against the vibrate yellow they really show all the amazing individual Dusty Attic pieces and how you can make some amazing art.

Start with the Big Moon by Nuneka, by adding it to the edge of your photo.

Add the Dusty Attic Flower Buds over the moon, give the stems a bit of a curve to mimic the edge of the moon.

Add the Dusty Attic Dandelions through out the clusters..... like little star bursts.

And do the same with the Dusty Attic Industrial Jumbo Gears....

Finish off with the Title.

I hope this has inspired you.

Remember you still have time to enter the two amazing Dusty Attic Challenges, just scroll below to grab all the details.

Till next time have a creative day.

Sweet Vibes for Bee Arty

Good evening how are you all? I am here on this fine Sunday to share with you my latest creation for Bee Arty and this is for this months current challenge either a moodboard or the sketch or like myself... why not combine the two?

Heres my take in the challenge, you still have plenty time to enter and win !!!

Want to see how it was created? Follow along with a process video.

To start off use a stencil like the Honeycomb Spray Stencil.... to build up the colour in the background I used Tim Holtz Oxide - Pickled Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, Kitsch Flamingo.

Stamp Find Your Way to the left hand side of the page with an archival ink.

Follow this up with stamping the right hand side with the Geo Grunge - the one with the Bee, set this aside for layer on.

Now its all about adding your pattern paper layers and to soften you can add some vellum as your last layer.

Add some fussy cut elements from Sunny Days 12x12 Paper.

Add photos and title.

Now with the Geo Grunge Stamp - stamp though out the background randomly, if you keep your stamp unmounting it will help with the random effect.

Now its time to get messy with Colour Artist Ink - Slipper, Citrus, and Spiced.

Flick over the background and dilute in places with water.

Dont forget to cover your photo.

To finish off use Shimmer Spray - Bling with a brush flick and let it run like honey.....

So why dont you join us in this challenge, just follow the link:

"A"

I love a good layout when things just come together, this is one of those that works and made it fun to create something, this is what happens when you have some deadlines and then you get stuck blogging and doing all the behind the scenes stuff, dont get me wrong I am extremely happy to be doing all that I am but the hours behind the scenes blogging photographing and linking have started to mess with my sleep ( not that it was great to start with), and that means later nights.....

On the plus side I am very close to kill this kit I might get 3 more out of it with the fussy cut pieces , so I will see how I go.

Love

Another day, another layout, and some more fussy cutting and some more late night blogging to catch up a little bit. Am I the only insane person blogging at this hour 11.40 pm? Do others do it? How do you find the words as I have to say I am struggling and its starting to be a little ranty rather than bloggy......
