Handmade Halo.....

Time to share something that is more masculine...... I forget the joy in creating something that is a simple layout that allows the photo to do all the talking and all you need sometimes is a little embellishment here and there. Handmade Halo has some of these things even though they do the most amazing handmade flowers, they also have the perfect bits for a boys page.

 And I have to share my favourite product at the moment, its Mr Huey's spray love it for boys its like paint and it has no shine. Perfect for those masculine photos.

Its just not paper!!!!!

Have you ever been so excited about a range of paper that once you had it in your hands you didnt want to stuff it up so you put in onto your shelves for another day? Well this is the paper that did it for me Lost and Found 2 by My Minds Eye. I wanted it so badly, brought the whole range and I do mean the whole range, was so excited about the black , grey and yellow combo, and did nothing with it because it was sooooooo precious. I know its just paper but you dont understand its NOT just paper its PRETTTTTTYYYYYYYYYYY!!!

So the other day in having to come up with a layout I decided to bite the bullet and use a sheet of that pretty paper and I didnt stuff it up! Moral of the story is to just scrap it and you might be happy with what you create.

Resin !!! my sugar rush

Resin, resin everywhere.... I refer to my resin jar as my lolly jar, its so pretty and it really does look like lollies and its perfect for those of us trying to be health conscious and I can thank Handmade Halo for this "sugar" addiction.  So with this in mind how do you make it even prettier? the answer is Kindy glitz, nothing like a little bling to make a perfect girly page.....

Steam punk and me....

It is a very rare occasion that I have any photos of myself to scrap, if your lucky on a good year there will be 2 or 3 photos and very, very rarely on my own. I am working on changing that but its hard when I love taking photos. A friend of mine took this photo of me and its not half bad. So I thought what could I do..... I had these beautiful Handmade Halo Charms and I discovered that you can colour them in with you copic markers yay!!! nothing better than to alter something. And what better way to show cause this technique than going steam punk..... please be gentle this is my 1st attempt in trying this style.

Handmade Halo

There is nothing like leaving a deadline to the 11th hr but I have admitted its a great way to get you out of what you usually do either  technique or colour wise. In this case for my Handmade Halo layout, they are currently having a sale on there Mulberry flowers till Thursday, and to be honest these are flowers I would not normally pick up and purple anyone who knows me, knows I dont "do" purple..... but having said that being out of your comfort zone allows you to create with beautiful products and colours.

Happy Holidays, Easter and Scrapping

Its been a busy week here, school holidays has officially started over here in the West, so have been running around like a mad woman before the kids are off. I have even surprised myself with getting some layouts done and on my scrap girlies scrap day  ( I have a couple of my friends come over every Tuesday and I never get a layout completed), this is one of the downside to the holiday no scrap day for 3 weeks..... Yes our holidays over in WA last for 24 days!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some girly Handmade Halo today and I must say it has some very girly embellishments at that. I must be honest these embellishments arent what I normally gravite to, but after having a play I am now converted. Especially love the fullness of the Bombe Tulles..... very, very girly.

Time is Flying......

 Cant believe how time is flying by already this year, it doesn't feel that long ago when I last posted some of my Handmade Halo Design Team stuff. Well its my turn again this week and the girls at Halo have been working really had creating new products to play with and just as they make them they sell out so you better get it quick especially when it comes to the glass pebbles and I have to say that is one of my most favourite Handmade Halo product so far and I must say the Steel Manolia's "Belle Fleur d'etain is the most elegant thing I have seen.
