Sawyers Place

Feeling creative of late and more importantly have made it a little mission to try and use some of the stash, rather than either using once and put it on the shelf to move onto something else. I have a bit of a clean up on my shelves last Sunday and it took 6 hrs, but now its organised and more importantly I can see what I have and its now working the way that I currently work. 

Today I thought I would share with you a layout that I am beyond happy with, it combines my favourite product and my favourite technique... WASHI and FUSSY CUTTING!!!

PLUM!!!!

Sometimes I have these brain waves when it comes to washi tape layouts, I cant work on anything else till I have tried it, you might say " that's great you have ideas", and it is but when the idea takes 4+hrs to do...

 

Sawyer's Place has just release there own washi tape called Summer Brights, 7 lovely colours that co ordinate with everything that you are working on.... for this layout I decided to use the plum washi on this layout, also did you know Sawyer's Place is also making Flair buttons!!!

 

So some info on how it was constructed so you can see how it it take over 4 hrs to do...... so I used a masked and misted the lighter purple, for part of the chevron then for the darker plum I cut small sections of the washi to follow this misted pattern.

 

I must say I am in love with this layout and how effective it is, worth the time and the effort and now I am going to go and create more and adapt this idea........

Another day another layout?

Another day another post and for those who are following... yes I have been creating like a mad woman and it have been a great feeling that I have had the mojo to create. I am also loving the fact that most of these layout have been coming together really quickly ( a few hours) compared to my usual style which is a couple of days.

That being said.... I have been doing alot of design team stuff and its great to play with the products that I have been given for this layout that wasnt the case, its great to go to my shelves and pull this product to go with this, hence I think this is why the mojo is flowing.

So as most of you know I am a little bit addicted to Sawyer's Place Washi tape and I have been playing with some of the core lines however from time to time they get some limited edition washi tapes and this is what this layout has. Love the Orange Spotted Hearts Washi/ Smash tape !!!!

Sawyer's Place... "Ophelia"

Today's post is for Sawyer's Place, and love washi tape I really do, it is the perfect little bit and for this layout it was instead of a pattern paper, it added perfectly to all my misting and complemented the black and white photos which I don't do that often, and come to think of it this isn't my usual style, this is the ultimate girly layout which an elegant twist.... so what do you think?

These photos where taken after Amelia's first smash cake photo session, and I have to admit I was suprised that she kept the hat on...... a first for everything.

Sawyer's Place and Made with Memories goes hand in hand....

It has been awhile since I have posted I have been busy creating as you can image with 3 different DT's, its a juggling act...... but I love the fact that I get to play with totally different products. Sawyer's Place is now branching out to local scrapbooking shops, and I am very lucky that Made With Memories now stock their washi tapes and it works out perfectly 'hand in hand'. so that being said here are some creatings using Sawyers Place washi tape and Made with Memories DT papers.

This layout was calling for something and this is what I love about washi tape its the perfect "it" thing and great when your on a time crunch, I am quite proud of this layout it took 40mins from start to finish.
