Purple Pumpkin Challenge just by the skin of my teeth!!!

This happens to be an unusual month for me it seem, usually by the end of the month I am struggling to keep up with my design team deadlines and its always a made dash..... but this month as I said is an unusual month, I have managed in record time to create all my monthly layouts and do some scrapping for me and some challenges, now why cant every month be like this?

Purple Pumpkin do a monthly sketch and I though why not!!! I have the biggest jar of there beautiful buttons and I am getting a collection of there new Flair buttons...... and with the weather finally warming up over here in the west why not do a summer fun layout.

"Epic"

Sawyer's Place Washi tape, Bazzil cardstock, Mr Hueys mist,
Crafters workshop template, Echo Park essential pp, MME Stickers,

The sketch has circle in it and rather than do an actual circle I thought I would imply it with a misted template so it looks like the sun and I must say I love this template.

How do I scrap this photo?

You know sometimes there is just a photo that you think "what can I do with it?", it is usually because its too perfect or theres not the right paper or embellishment, so it sits there waiting for your to do something with it. So my question to you is what photo has that been for you? how did you work past it? or is it still in your to do pile?

So here's my one, it was take for my sons 5th Birthday and he is a little lolly mad, so when I saw this lolly pop, I thought perfect what to get a boy that has almost everything he is going to love it. I was right he loved it and I loved the photo. To help me get past my little dilemma..... I used Sawyer's Place washi tape and just layed it down on an angle, can you see there's 3 different types? and I just flicked the matching Lolly pop colours to help close in some negative space. The only thing I think it needs is journalling but at this time I don't know where to put it. Any suggestions?

Handmade Halo.....

Time to share something that is more masculine...... I forget the joy in creating something that is a simple layout that allows the photo to do all the talking and all you need sometimes is a little embellishment here and there. Handmade Halo has some of these things even though they do the most amazing handmade flowers, they also have the perfect bits for a boys page.

And I have to share my favourite product at the moment, its Mr Huey's spray love it for boys its like paint and it has no shine. Perfect for those masculine photos.

Sawyer's Place Washi fun!!!!

Ok I know it seems all I do lately is washi layouts but as you know from my previous post I have just a small amount of it lol. For those who haven't tried washi tape, I urge you to really try, its the simplest product to use and with new designs coming out everyday there is an endless array of choices. The layout below shows you how simple it can be, just lay strips down and stamp over the top of it and your done. So check out Sawyer's Place washi tape.
