Scrapbook Savvy March Cyber Crop

I find myself here trying to chase down my goal of completing 60 layouts by the end of the month, as you know I needed 9 more, so a challenge was needed. The Scrapbook Savvy Cyber Crop allowed me to create 5 new layout, so I thought I would share with you over the next couple of days. So not to shabby and it was just fun to create for fun.

I thought I would share with you Kerryn's March Recipe challenge, and that it was, a challenge!!! This is what you had to use.

1 Cardstock

2 Different size journal spots
3 Different alphas
1 Flair button
3 Different colours of ink or paint (one must be black)
1 Pen for journaling and doodling
1 Washi tape
2 Different stamps

Scrap Around The World

Tonight I thought I would share with you my Scrap Around the World March mood board layout. Nothing strikes my fears like a pastel mood board!!! So feeling the challenge off I set with a goal of wanting to do one of those layout you see on the Prima blog, the ones you wonder how did they do that many flowers?

Crate Paper Flea Market, Echo Park Essentials pp, AC Dear lizzy pp,
Prima Flowers, Scrap FX chipboard, Resin, Metal Charms, Rhinestones
Doily, Thread.

So my inspiration is clearly flowers!!! In multiple shades of pinks. The lace punched pp is a reference to the dress and its beautiful layers. I just had to add the Prima Butterfly, I have had this in my stash since before Amelia was born it was the first girl scrapping supply I brought when I found out I was having a girl.

The charms are reference to the Necklace on the dress form.

This lovely Scrap FX Art Noueau Circle is referenced in the Cake stand. Amelia is also wearing ruffles.

In my excitement to share this layout I forgot to add a title, but I have since added one something nice and simple in plain white. I really enjoyed creating this layout and it has 73 flowers on it in total, that is a record for me for sure.

Scrap Friends

Hi, hows it going? Busy, busy, busy here but lets face it its just how I like it.... I am sure I am not the only one? Today I thought I would share with you a little plan that I have, a way to keep on task and a way to beat my record of how many layouts for the year. Last year as you all know, I created 191 layouts, this year my aim is to crack over 200... in order to achieve that I need to do at least 20 a month, I know some people will think that is insane, but trust me its not to hard to achieve my design teams allow me to create up to 14 of those in the month, then I love doing challenges..... not to mention a cyber crop or two. My count is standing at 51, 9 short of the 60 I should have.

So wish  me luck this weekend hope to close that gap a little bit more....

My share for you today is a for Scrap Friends March Sketch challenge, I really love these sketches they allow for any style especially those in the mixed media field.

Kraft It Up

Evening all yes an evening post scheduled, and I am sorry to say its not going to be the last this weekend..... procrastination and life got me this month, and I need to do these challenges before the end of the month. Just on of those things I hate to say.

THIS MONTHS CHALLENGE IS TO CREATE A LAYOUT BASED AROUND A "LIST", WHETHER IT IS A CHRISTMAS LIST, GROCERY LIST, BUCKET LIST, CHORES OR A WEEKLY PLANNING LIST THAT IS UP TO YOU...

''Today was''

Show Us Your Stuff

I must say that this months Show Us Your Stuff mood board, threw me, I mean there are colours I do, do, colours I cant stand to do, even colours I wont do. I hate to say a lot of green falls into the latter category. But this has not turned me away from doing this months mood board. This is why they call it a challenge, right?

I must say I am beyond happy with the results, I did struggle for awhile, had a moment of why am I even putting things over the background? But I worked though it and completed the layout. Now its one of my favourite layouts to date.

I took my inspiration from the lush green garden hence the vine background, and my one handmade piece is from A Piece a Cake wooden Veneer.

How much is too much? For Molossi .....

Good Morning another fabulous Friday , well it is after another hot spell ! Mother nature obviously hasn't got the memo that it is Autumn yet. Today I am sharing a layout over at Molossi, a layout that I love and now is apart of my scrap wall display. Its not my usually arty or fussy cut layouts but it has an elegance to it that I just love ( well at least I think it does).

You sometimes don't need a heap of embellishments to show case you photo, so how do you know how much is too much? To get the answer on this, why dont you pop over to the Molossi blog to see .....

For Fun!!!

Hi, today I thought I would share with you a recent layout that I managed to do for just fun for Scrapbooking Top 50, Party Time Cyber Crop .... sometimes I use challenges to kick start the mojo, to get myself motivated or just because... and it makes a huge difference to my work I find. I do these challenges so I can experiment with all the things I want to that I wouldn't normally have an opportunity to do in my design team commitments. Though this time its all about the paper!!!

This range of paper I love, it was given to me as a special RAK, and I feel very lucky and spoil, another thing is its from Kaiser craft, and of late I haven't been a huge fan, but I come to you as the converted.

This layout we had to base on this lovely cake mood board:

Rainbow Splendour Cards

I have to admit I am not the best at card making, there is something about it that does my head in, maybe its the scale or maybe I wish I could pull off those stunning cards which have everything on it and it looks perfect and effortless.

Its not me yet, maybe one day but I am not going to get any better unless I dont try right? So I bring to you my humble cards... some of you might notice that they match my first layout that I shared at the start of the week. I decided to make use of those scraps and make two quick thankyou cards. They are the same in layout but with a few quick changes of the embellishments they look and mean totally different things.

Dont you just love the Rainbow Splendour Embellishments? Felt Butterflies and Heart Paper clip....

Off my trolley?

Good morning, its my turn to share over at the Molossi blog today and I will be sharing tips on reusing your packaging to make a layout.....

Mind you might want to keep it a secret from the other halves in our lives, because I think mine thought I was off my trolley when I was telling him not to throw out the empty packaging. That or he thought I would need to go on Hoards, officially now, I could just see his brain tick over....

Rainbow Splendour

Today I thought I would share with you a layout that I did for a recent cyber crop for Scrapbook Savvy. It was based on a colour, word and technique challenge ; Blue + Family + Stamping.

So with the challenge in hand I set off to create the perfect mixed media layout, which was easy enough, but once again it comes down to the perfect embellishment. After hunting around probably more time than it took to create the layout I remembered I had the teal bow from Rainbow Splendour......

Rainbow Splendour First DT post....

An exciting day well for myself it is... today marks the first day in a new design team.... It really doesnt matter how many you do or have done the first post or your first introduction is still an exciting experience.

As you know and if you cant tell my passion at the moment is about making mixed media backgrounds
you tend to do a lot of work on them and the last thing you want to do is cover up the hours of work that you have done with papers and embellishments.... sometimes all you need is one perfect thing!

This is where Rainbow Splendours Rainbow Feathers (Teal) saved me and added the perfect, elegant touch to complete this layout.

Molossi

Hi I am sharing a layout today for Molossi today.

You have seen my creative space last Friday I thought it would be a great idea to get creative and show you what you can do with a lot of flowers.

Anyone who knows me... knows that I love flowers but not a huge amount... and when I say I don't love a huge amount its more that I haven't learnt yet how to pull off a Prima style layout. I love there layouts but it really baffles me how they can do it. So this week I decided it was time to just evoke a little bit of flower spirit.

This is the result....

''Sparkle Bright''
Kaisercraft pp, Manor House Creation Vinette's, flowers and Tiny flowers.
Rhinestones, AC thickers, washi tape

Over at the Molossi store you will find a great range of the Manor House Creations products. For tips and tricks on this layout why dont you pop over to the Molossi Blog and leave some love for the rest of the design team.
