Good morning ,can you believe we are in August already? This time of year really marks for things in life to pick up - Book week, sport carnivals, crazy hair days and all the other school events that tend to happen from now on..... ohhh and we are building a house!!!
So its nice to get to come into the studio and play with some paper and amazing Dusty Attic Chipboard.
And as you know with a new month means a new amazing Mood board and this one has all the feels, dark, moody with a soft elegant vibe.
Have you ever had a piece of chipboard that you have been hoarding waiting for the perfect photo? The Lotus Mandela has been that for me, and as soon as I unpacked from my kit I knew instantly which photo would go with it.
So to start I sprayed all my chipboard with Dulux Grey Chalk paint.
Now its onto the waxes and blending them to add the effect I want......
Finnabar Wax - Peacock, Old Denim, Electric Violet, Royal Robes and Blue Velvet.
I started off with main colour and then to boost and catch your eye I used the Royal Robes and Blue Velvet to high light areas on the chipboard.
Now its just a case of laying out the chipboard and building up the elements. The Party Lights are a great piece but sometimes it can look like its just floating without being tied to anything.... a great way of sorting that design problem out will be to add chains and droplets to look like they are hanging off and drawing your eye downwards.
We would love to see your take on our moodboard. Don’t forget to share your projects on our Facebook page. Why not enter the Mood Board challenge yourself?
All you need to do is add your take of the challenge into the comments section on the Dusty FANattics Facebook page HERE for your chance to win one of two amazing $50 Credits to choose any.
Good Luck and have fun creating.
