Wild and Free with Craft on the Run

Good morning how are you? Are you loving Stamperia month at Craft on the Run? The team have been making some amazing, inspiring creations dont you think?

Whats your favourite Stamperia Collection so far? Are you inspired? If so dont forget to share with the amazing Craft On the Run Chit Chat Group.

As you know I am a huge fan of cut files, recently converted to loving them and now I am addicted... so of course that means using it with Stamperia Ocean Romance.

So to start off fill in your letters with the Stamperia Ocean Romance papers.... use some of your off cuts from the previous layout so that way your using all your scraps.

To make layers and your own embellishments use paper clay in silicone moulds, perfect for light weight embellishments and allow you to add media to them and create perfect little clusters.

Add embossing enamel as they are heavier and thicker which allows the powder to be heated multiple times and give it a liquid metal look.

Add glitter into your embossing enamel while it is still hot it acts as a glue .....

Add glass pearls into your paper clusters .....and when you add your mist, they will give you some coloured and toned to your layout and as you see above you get a great water effect, Lindys Stamp Gang Magicals will help with this effect.

Dont be afraid to add height over your raised cut file, as you are using paper clay embellishments you need that height to stack the high and give you little spaces to catch the embossing enamel, beads, art stones and pearls..... and dont forget your glitter and colour.

With an ocean layout you need Uniquely Creative Glass Drops.... every ocean creature needs water right?

Add strips of washi to parts of the layout it acts as a anchor to the layout and informal boarder...... what washi is in your stash?

Till next time have creative day and stay tuned for the rest of the teams Stamperia Layouts.

Chasing Rainbows with Dusty Attic

Good morning how are you? Feeling the change of the seasons is an amazing feeling and with that comes so much inspiration with things blossoming around us and its no different when you get creating, do you feel the same?

So todays share is all about the bright colours and and of course whats colours without a Rainbow?

So to start off its all about thinking the layers and how you can play with the bright background from the Vicki Boutin Paper..... I knew straight away which photo was going with this collection, so I had a theme, celebrating my daughters artistic journey.

So time to spray paint the chipboard white ( its my go to start point, as you would know by now).

Stick all your elements down, team it with a little bit of pattern paper like the Alexandra Renke Paint tubes and pots.

Dont be afraid to layer your chipboard, if you find you need some stability with the layers and dont want to show that you used foam tape, try the clear silicone style tapes, plus they hold up really well when you start adding your media to the chipboard.

Now the trick to get the colour balance right over the chipboard is to copy your background, follow the way the colours over lap in the background and then do it over the chipboard by flicking and splattering rather than painting it.

You might find that you will need to do it a couple of times to build up the colours with a few of the lighter ones but enjoy that process..... and allow to dry naturally as it grabs on to the spray paint better than if you where to heat it ( also the smell from heating spray painted chippy is not a good thing).

The etched designs really lend themselves to this style, this is why I prefer using spray paint as you can keep the details dark....

So if your feeling the Rainbow, why dont you give this technique ago and enter our mood board challenge.

We would love to see your take on our moodboard.  Don’t forget to share your projects on our Facebook page. Why not enter the Mood Board challenge yourself?

All you need to do is add your take of the challenge into the comments section on the Dusty FANattics Facebook page HERE for your chance to win one of two amazing $50 Credits to choose any.

Good Luck and have fun creating.

My Favourite Colour is Rainbow

Good morning how are you? I am here today to share another layout using the extremely fun collection from Paper Roses Rainbows and Unicorns.

You can purchase this collection here from Craft on the Run.

I love the fun and whimsy of this collection and there is plenty to fussy cut out for your own embellishment, and it works so well with Dusty Attic Chipboard too.

Till next time have a creative day
