Steam punk and me....

It is a very rare occasion that I have any photos of myself to scrap, if your lucky on a good year there will be 2 or 3 photos and very, very rarely on my own. I am working on changing that but its hard when I love taking photos. A friend of mine took this photo of me and its not half bad. So I thought what could I do..... I had these beautiful Handmade Halo Charms and I discovered that you can colour them in with you copic markers yay!!! nothing better than to alter something. And what better way to show cause this technique than going steam punk..... please be gentle this is my 1st attempt in trying this style.

Hi, I am Rikki and I have "collection" issues...

If anyone has seen my scrap area, you know what its like.... "a mini shop", full of everything you could ever need to get the perfect layout done, but for anyone who knows me, its the joy of having whole collections at my disposable so I don't need to go out all the time for supplies and by having "collections" the mojo can keep flowing.....

So for my Made With Memories Design team kit, it was about all the little touches and being able to finally use the things I have been collecting..... sounds good, doesn't it? the things I try and convince myself to justify my hoarding and little "shop"!

Hmmm might have to work on that a bit more, what do you think?

Ahhhh Tim Holtz who doesn't love him? I have been finding my creative side lately and playing with all my Tim Holtz products.... lots of inking ..... but I have been playing with Perfect Pearls powders and Glassine paper and what fun that has been !!!

Washi Fun

Long time no see but I promise you I have been creating up a storm, and I will try and find the time to share with you some of these layouts.....

On Friday it marks the start of the school holidays over here in the West and I must say I am really looking forward to them, no school pick ups & drop offs but that being said ask me in 2 weeks if I feel the same.

This layout was a design team combo ( I know again ) but I am very fortunate to have Sawyer's Place and Made With Memories work together. So why dont you go and grab some washi tape and see what it is all about

So anyone who has been watching the news we have had some insane weather over here in SW WA, as the second front was due to cross the thought crossed my mind in need masking tape, for the windows..... I didn't have masking tape I did for a split second think.... " What about washi tape?" I think I have issues!

Craft - A - Lot monthly challenge.....

So this is just a quick little post...... I have been for awhile getting Unity's Kit of the month stamps brought in by Craft- A - Lot, they have just started to do monthly challenges, I missed out doing last months ( time, I don't know where it goes), so I was determined not to miss out this month. So Junes challenge is to us a Unity stamp somewhere as well as emboss....

This card is using Unity KOTM Feburary 2012, using the big clock stamped directly into Uttee and November 2010 KOTM time flies....... nothing like a bit of steam punk to inspire you.
