Sawyer's Place

Where does time go?.... we are already at the end of August !!!

This got me thinking how many photos I have scrapped and how many more I will have to scrap as the years pass. With this in mind I decided to go and find some inspiration with a photo that was taken 2 years ago, at Tristan and Ethan's Sports Carnival. To think we will have another photo of all of us with an addition of Amelia.... oh how the time flies and things change, I look at the photo and I see so much of Ethan in Amelia and how young both of my boys look.

I also love this layout because its just using Sawyer's Place washi tapes, no pattern papers at all..... as you all know I am a bit addicted to washi tape 161 rolls in my collection and growing.  I love how it is so versatile and if you get the colour combos right its a striking addition to your page or in this case instead of using stripes of pattern paper.

I was very lucky for my design team pack to get the new Crate paper Bo peep range, and you might think that its just for babies and little girls but I set myself a challenge to use the range for something else....

The background pattern is Sawyer's Place Pink Crochet washi tape isn't it beautiful, they are currently holding a competition.....

Its just not paper!!!!!

Have you ever been so excited about a range of paper that once you had it in your hands you didnt want to stuff it up so you put in onto your shelves for another day? Well this is the paper that did it for me Lost and Found 2 by My Minds Eye. I wanted it so badly, brought the whole range and I do mean the whole range, was so excited about the black , grey and yellow combo, and did nothing with it because it was sooooooo precious. I know its just paper but you dont understand its NOT just paper its PRETTTTTTYYYYYYYYYYY!!!

So the other day in having to come up with a layout I decided to bite the bullet and use a sheet of that pretty paper and I didnt stuff it up! Moral of the story is to just scrap it and you might be happy with what you create.

Resin !!! my sugar rush

Resin, resin everywhere.... I refer to my resin jar as my lolly jar, its so pretty and it really does look like lollies and its perfect for those of us trying to be health conscious and I can thank Handmade Halo for this "sugar" addiction.  So with this in mind how do you make it even prettier? the answer is Kindy glitz, nothing like a little bling to make a perfect girly page.....

Steam punk and me....

It is a very rare occasion that I have any photos of myself to scrap, if your lucky on a good year there will be 2 or 3 photos and very, very rarely on my own. I am working on changing that but its hard when I love taking photos. A friend of mine took this photo of me and its not half bad. So I thought what could I do..... I had these beautiful Handmade Halo Charms and I discovered that you can colour them in with you copic markers yay!!! nothing better than to alter something. And what better way to show cause this technique than going steam punk..... please be gentle this is my 1st attempt in trying this style.
