Sawyers Place New Product fun!!!!

I have to say I am loving getting back to the arty stuff, this is my bliss and has always been, ever since I was little. Now that I have reconnected with this I have been creating up a storm, making a mess. Its not that uncommon to see multiple layers of different mists across the table and the floor!!! (thank goodness my scrap area is on tiles).

That being said Sawyer's Place has been creating some new products which I find are perfect for the mixed media style of scrapping and journaling. So introducing Sawyers Place Sticky Bubbles and Sawyers Place Dots. Also there are 3 new washi rolls to add to your stash... My favourite washi the Insanity Script is now in Navy, Pink and Red.

Inspired Blueprints - Sketch #119

Have you been playing along with inspired Blueprints lately? there have been some changes one of those being the new Inlinkz attached to the blog to help you all load your work and also a new reveal day... being Tuesday. So that being said here is sketch #119.

So I have changed a little bit of the sketch , by adding a larger pattern paper mat for the photos and some addition of washi tape. And I have added smaller photos and a smaller journaling section. This is why I love sketches you can change them to suit what photos you are using.

''Believe''
MME Sweetest thing pp, washi tape
Chipboard, ink and Kindy Glitz.

Scrap around the World - January Mood Board.

I feel very honoured at the moment.... my entry from Decembers Scrap around the World has allowed me to share with you (next month) how to create a mixed media background so stay turned. I have also created a layout for this months mood board. I must say I am starting to get the hang of mood boards, I was discussing it with another scrapping friend the other day.... I had trouble picking what elements to include in a mood board... but for those who are struggling just keep at it... you will get the hang of it!!!

''In this Life''
AC cardstock, MME pp, Dusty Attic Chipboard, Prima Flowers and Stamps,
Tattered Angels Mist, Heidi Swapp Colour Shine, Drew Drops,
Washi Tapes, Gesso.

So I have taken a lot of inspiration from the mood board... where to start!!! I loved the natural wood table, so I have included wood grain pp and also washi tape.  The flowers taken from the tea cups and in the bikes basket and the white flower bouquet.

I have included drew drops and gauze to mimic the glass balls and fishing net. I also took inspiration of the colour palette as well love the washed out whites and greys and I wanted the blue to pop to help support the photos.

So this is my take on Scrap around the Worlds January Mood board... and I cant wait to share with you my tutorial next month!!!!!

Inspired Blueprints Sketch #118

OHHHH how time flies when your having fun can you believe we are nearly at the end of January . With that in mind I wanted to continue with some reflection and a major event that happened last year, with Inspired Blueprints #118 sketch reveal.

It was with great excitement I decide I wasn't going to miss The Make Stuff Pretty Down Under tour!!! I have always been a huge fan of Heidi Swapp and her products (as you can tell from my blog) and the though of meeting her and learning from her was not something that I could pass up.

It was more than just a class both Heidi Swapp and Kim Jeffress shared stories that for me, myself reminded me why I do what I do, its not just not a hobby or a job, it is "our duty" to capture and document our lifes.

ScrapFriends

Its been a busy month scrapping wise and I think that is because I am trying to get ahead with some design team commitments and scrapping for fun and enjoy the last of the school holidays as sometimes I don't have the opportunity to get as much creative time as I would like... and then its a mad dash when the next school holidays come around.

So I am fitting as many new challenges I can into the month ( and hopefully continuing for the year). I stumbled across Scrap Friends awesome sketches via Pinterest, so I thought I would investigate more. I am so happy that I did!!! they really do have a great site and the sketches oh my word......... instantly in love and cant wait to do them all!!!!

And as a bonus it has allowed me time to play with Sawyer's Place newest products and I am loving them!! They are the perfect something for your pages and to make your own embellishments.

Heres my take on the sketch:

Scrap the Girls

Scrap the Girls challenge was on the list of fun stuff this year. This month they have given us a sketch as a start point, and you know I do love a great sketch. I have also set myself a bit of a challenge to use some of my old paper stash, and challenges will help that I think. So why don't you add this site to you challenge list and there's plenty of time to enter too which is a bonus.

Kraft it Up - January's Challenge

Whoo scrapping for fun... this is my motto this year.... and plus I feel the urge to break my record of 191 layouts last year (at one point I would love it to be 1 a day = 365 layouts, but lets face it I already don't sleep and this wouldn't be good). So to help with that goal I am going to be more active in challenges...

So for Januarys Kraft it Up challenge, we where given a sketch, had to include washi and a number and the photo has to be a summer one as well as being on Kraft paper/s. This was going to be a challenge I do last minute as I usually don't do to well with Kraft papers and then do a lot of second guessing so if I leave it last minute it eliminates the over thinking thing that happens... surely I am not the only one that over thinks things? any tips please share...

JANUARY CHALLENGE

''2 fun''
Glitz enchanted Waters pp, Washi tape - flim strip, black star burst (under the photo as a mat) and Chevron.
Um Wow Confetti chipboard, twine, MME phrase, AC Thickers, Heidi Swapp Colour shine.

Inspired Blueprints #117

How are you all this fine morning? Another Friday is here and only 8 hours to the weekend yay!!! And we are getting to the start of back to school preparations and I haven't made up my mind whether I am happy about it or not... I marks a very sad and happy occasion with my oldest last year of Primary school and to be honest I don't know where the time has gone...... and I don't want to think about it too much. At least I will have all the scrapbook pages to reflect on my ''baby'' growing up.

So into this weeks Inspired Blueprints sketch reveal #117.

Scrap it with Attitude January's Challenge

Hope your New Year went well and that you had a great time celebrating with family and friends. I was lucky enough to spend sometime with the family and get some scrapbooking done, I used the opportunity to just play make a mess and see what works ( the music and the bubbles properly helped), but I found it creatively freeing and that is why I have an art journal and white cardstock.

This months January Scrap it with Attitude's   challenge is all about a Year in Review. It was a busy 2013 for my scrapping life at one point I had 8 design teams on the go.... I loved every minute of it for sure!!! It did allow me to create a lot of layouts 197 in total just shy of 200 but hey that's what this year is for. So over this week before I get creating I have the unenviable task of getting these layouts away in there albums so I can start the New Year fresh (and if you don't here from me then I am rocking in the corner surrounded by a mountain of layouts, albums and sleeves).

So why don't you have a moment of reflection and join us in the challenge, cant wait to see what you create!!!
