Fresh Air for Bee Arty

 Good evening how are you all? Busy, busy here myself with getting creative and also prepping for an up and coming retreat, let me tell you my fingers are burnt from the hot glue.

So today I am sharing with you one of my processes when it comes to working out my mixed media backgrounds. 

I work and play in my art journal.....

My art journals tend to be where I work out colour combos, techniques and other things before I start playing with my scrap pages, especially when  I am lacking ideas, or not to sure how it will work out.

So then my art journals become a how to guide so I dont forget how I did it.

This is also a good time to crack out the old washi tapes and add them into your backgrounds, who doesnt love washi tapes.

When you layer your inks you end up with a nice Bokeh effect.

Adding some fussy cutting pieces you can create a finished journal page.

Its all about the layers, washi, stamping , inking, stenciling, splatting ink, and ephemera.

So why dont you create your own journal as a go to guide.

 Good morning how are you today?  Myself, I have been busy, trying to be productive, but half the time I am procrastinating and that is starting to drive me bonkers. It must be time to do a to-do list to keep me on track and focused hmmmm lack of focus is really the problem. Any tips?

While I ponder on my list I am here today to share with you my latest creation for CUT to YOU, and yes I have been playing round with my gold foil cardstock again.

I love using vellum in the cut files as it allows you to soften the background papers to give you the opportunity to focus on the title block.

Weave fussy cutting through out the layout and use some of the fussy cutting to hide your foam tape under the vellum.

Good morning how are you? Today I am sharing with you two takes on this months Dusty Attic Sketch Challenge, yes I said two..... well confession time I forgot to hit record on the layout and I was wondering if I shouldnt do a video and then I thought well why not, I can do the layout on the back of the non recorded one, and use another set of photos from our day out.

So even when you think its a missed opportunity you still can use it for something different.
