Hopscotch whimsy......

Today I thought I would share with you a simple way to make printed paper pop. I was given by Scrapbooks From The Heart the Kaisercraft Hopscotch range for dt kit..I love this range for its whimsy part, and it has great embellishments too.

I really loved this paper but I wanted to add layers so with some fussy cutting and foam mount I created a layout with layers and with only one piece of paper and the die cut pack.....

"Growing up too fast"

So why dont you pop into Scrapbooks from the Heart and grab some of this paper while it lasts.......

Trendsetter fun!!!!

Week two of the holidays over here in the West and its nice to have the cooler weather however I would be 100% happier if I didn't have a flu (so I apologise in advance if some of this post makes no sense at all).

Last week I talked about the value of a kit, this week I want to share with you the joys of co-ordinating pattern papers and how it can make you live out of the box with your scrapping. For me the Fancy Pants Trendsetter kit is perfect for boys and girls but what I have discovered is it has made me thing differently about colour schemes.....

For me I would never put a navy colour with a pastel pink nor would I put the vintage style papers in the mix.

Teal and Cromwell..............

The one thing that I love about washi tape is trying to find out new ways to work with it, and lets face it is always fun when Sawyer's Place bring out a new tape, especially when it co- ordinates with one of there other ranges like the Summer Brights.....

So I like to introduce you to Cromwell Teal!!!

Yay its finally school holidays !!!!!!!!!!!

This Sunday mark the first Sunday in the holidays for us over in the West and I must say I am loving the idea of just not doing the school runs, as my darlings don't believe in sleep ins, so no school is the small blessing for me....

Today I thought I would share with you a layout using the Fancy Pants Trendsetter, in Sassy Scrappers store now....

For those who think I don't do kits I hope I can change you mind, the first positive for buying a kits is  for value you get all the papers in the range and lets face it, there's nothing worse than buying some pattern papers and getting home to realise you should have brought that piece it would have been perfect for this layout I am working on. Another big positive for me is the sticker sheets especially the alphas, it takes the hard work out of titles, one more point that is a huge positive is you have everything perfectly co ordinated which is a great time saver.

Inspired Blueprint sketch # 91 revealed....

Another Friday and another Inspired Blueprints reveal sketch # 91.....

I thought I would change it up for this sketch as it lends itself towards a very girly layout and I must say I have been neglecting the boy photos and layouts lately. So with this sketch I set myself a little mini challenge.... make this into a boy layout..... and here are the results....

I am in love with this range of paper from Echo Park and it made my mini challenge easy to do. Do you set yourself mini challenges? Let me know what you do to challenge yourself.

PLUM!!!!

Sometimes I have these brain waves when it comes to washi tape layouts, I cant work on anything else till I have tried it, you might say " that's great you have ideas", and it is but when the idea takes 4+hrs to do...

Sawyer's Place has just release there own washi tape called Summer Brights, 7 lovely colours that co ordinate with everything that you are working on.... for this layout I decided to use the plum washi on this layout, also did you know Sawyer's Place is also making Flair buttons!!!

So some info on how it was constructed so you can see how it it take over 4 hrs to do...... so I used a masked and misted the lighter purple, for part of the chevron then for the darker plum I cut small sections of the washi to follow this misted pattern.

I must say I am in love with this layout and how effective it is, worth the time and the effort and now I am going to go and create more and adapt this idea........

Scrapbooks From the Heart..... Remember me.....

Have you ever had one of those photos you don't want to do a lot to because it needs to speak the loudest on your page? This was my dilemma when I wanted to scrap this photo below, I needed to honour it and show how special it was, this was my grandfather in his Army uniform....

Lucky enough for me, my DT kit from Scrapbooks from the Heart for this month included the stunning Kaiser craft Remember me range. I love these tones, they are rich and warm with a touch of elegant gold, the range honours those who have long pasted.....

''Lest we Forget''

So if you have photos like this why don't you go and see Nicole from Scrapbooks from the Heart and grab some of this range while it last....

Trend Setter.....

How are you this Sunday morning? well finally over here in the West its is cloudy and we finally have some rain!!! so with the weather here like this what else can you do except scrap right?

Today I am sharing a layout I have done for Sassy Scrappers using this months sketch. When I first look at a sketch I like to figure out how I can change it from what is there, yes I am a rule breaker and I promise you it is very rare that I will keep a sketch in its original form, so this is how I saw this months sketch.

Yep that's right I flipped it......

I am very lucky this month to be sharing with you Fancy Pants Trendsetter kit which has everything you need and it all co ordinates which is a great time saver plus its a great money saver too. Also if you pop over to Sassy Scrappers I have done a tutorial on how to do this background.

Explore with Crate Paper

From time to time I love to do something different and that in this particular case is to sew and not just sew I thought why not sew in a circle.... easy right hmmmmm I have enough trouble sewing a straight line lol well I cant say I did a great job ( don't look too close) but I am happy about the overall layout and the little clusters.

And of course the stunning paper by Maggie Holmes. So if you haven't gone to grab some of this paper why don't you go and grab some from Made with Memories...

Scrapbooks From the Heart

Today thought I would share a layout that I worked on for Scrapbooks from the Heart..... I got onto this Design team a couple of months ago and have been lucky to play with some of the new Kaiser craft releases, this is called Sugar Pop and I wanted to do a layout that wasn't just an Easter layout as the range leads it self to be, and just with a little fussy cutting you to can create a beautiful layered piece.

Some of my favourite things in this collection apart from the whimsy flowers is the die cut pack it has a great selection of complementary bits that you need to complete your layout or beyond the page project.. in this case an instant title!!!

''Sugar & Spice''
Kaiser craft; sugar pop pp, and die cuts,

So why don't you pop down to Scrapbooks from the Hearts and grab some of this beautiful paper.....

Angie Delarie Easter Fun!!!!

Just a little share today, to help inspire you to get scrapping those Easter photos that for me always seem to just sit there until I have a few years to do and I wasn't going to let that happen again this year.

The new Angie Delarie digi stamp was the perfect thing to stop that for happening.... and what do you think? the bunny ear idea actually came from DH " why don't you put the ears on her?'' well it was the perfect idea, they where even the right scale so they had to go on.....
